Dear Florida Vanmily,

It is with devastating sadness that I share the news that Bill, also known as "Florida Van Man" passed away on September 4th 2026. Bill was a beloved husband, partner, friend, mentor, and the love of my life. His death came suddenly from a heat related heart attack and he quickly passed away in my arms. He did not suffer.

Take a deep breath.

I understand the feelings you are having. This is a hard shock to all of our collective hearts.

Please know that I feel the love flowing from my friends and Vanmily at this time of such a great loss.

That feeling is what is propping us up right now.

There are many things we need to figure out, but be reassured that Florida Van Man will continue because some of our most respected FVM members are stepping up to help us during this time.

Right now I ask that you help by sharing stories of your best experience with or memory of Bill by posting on Patreon.

I will read these for support as I learn to live without my Boo.
